covet

I miss the way we kiss

with tendrils of longing

never truly fulfilled

The circumference of

your arms as I lay

my head on your chest

Looking up to meet your gaze

and just then I know

you can see the real me

Hiding here behind

my smokey eyes

I lie to myself

everyday

I can see The End

right before my eyes,

ears,

hands,

grasping at straws,

sleeping in shadows,

starving with fear

my dear.  The demise

of Mankind is

all around us.

Touch it quick

before it’s gone.

Letters to Thailand (pt. 1)

I dream

of the day

you don’t call me

anymore.

Midnight messages

of delusions that

laugh at the demons

behind my eyes,

at the lies you

never told me.

I scream,

“Goodbye”.

Postcards from Thailand (pt. 2)

Just another Saturday morning

With a beer in my hand

I stand on the brink

Of insecurity feeling

My thoughts spinning

Not winning

this game I’m in.

Inside my mind I’ll stay

Until one phrase

Pushes me over

The edge of sanity

Straight into the bottle.

Sands of time

Passed around

And out without

Emotions hidden

In whiskey dreams

I sleep to forget.

breathing

Breathe in and out

and in and out

and I falter

Blackness floats

in my vision

around my eyes

becomes one

with my soul

the empty space

in which I hide

and wait

for tomorrow

no such thing

sleep the dreams

of peacefulness

tranquility becomes me

with you and

love is the one

entity I’ve searched for

all these years

city love

you are

everything to me

I can see

tomorrow like

heaven at the end

of my tunnel

silently watching and

waiting for peace
